Birch (for medium stain)

    Generic name: Betula alleghaniensis

    Common names:  Yellow Birch, White Birch, Birch

    At Saint-Georges Doors, we use a special Select grade especially sorted as per our own request. Birch is then re-graded at every step of machining. All components are carefully inspected before the assembly of the  cabinet door.

    The final inspection is made on a granite solid surface: We take all these precautions so that you will receive a trouble free product easy to install and without warping

    Specifications of the Birch for medium stain:

    The wood is matched in order to obtain a grade generally accepted in the indutry when a medium coloured stain is applied. It is also commonly used with natural finishes:

    • Color can vary from white to creamy pinkish depending on the tree.
    • Possible  presence of dark lines called “flek”
    • Dense wood easy to polish and to stain.
    • Commonly used for cabinet doors mouldings, cabinetry and flooring.
